Mastering Breathwork: A Session Like No Other
Last Saturday evening, I ventured into the industrial charm of Brooklyn's Sunset Park for a unique breathwork session called Witality®.
Picture this: 400 adventurous souls, myself included, diving into the world of Witality® - a breathwork session that's basically a one-way ticket to profound town. We arrived 30 minutes early, equipped with yoga mats, sleep masks, blankets, and lip balm (gotta keep those smackers hydrated)!
Witalij, our guide on this journey, briefed us on what to expect. Lights, music, nature sounds - the ambiance was set just right. And then came the lessons on the art of breathing, staying conscious (no snoozing allowed!), forming your lips like you're whistling, tapping energy-packed spots on the body like the solar plexus, and even how your hands might go all claw-like. Turns out, yelling, screaming, and maybe shedding half a bucket of tears are all part of the process.
Here's the key takeaway: it's all about that “inside job.” Pouring in means pouring out and releasing.
As I embraced the Witality® experience, I felt a massive weight lift off my shoulders. Scenes from my past that I unconsciously was holding onto melted away. It was like hitting the reset button for your soul (thanks, TikTok algorithm for adding this to my For You Page).
